FACIAL Treatments

Natural looking wrinkle injections treatments
At Mi Vida we pride ourselves in creating a natural result from any wrinkle injection for our patients. Our aim is to reduce lines and wrinkles as much as possible whilst maintaining movement in the region so the treatment does not appear obvious. The optimal amount varies between patients and why it is essential to be seen two weeks after initial treatment. We believe that if you are not reviewed after treatment there is a chance of getting a sub-optimal result.
At Mi Vida we believe that with special consideration to each individual’s anatomy we can give excellent results whilst still maintaining a natural appearance.
Wrinkle injections with botox are unparalleled for the treatment of forehead lines. In fact, they can have the same effect as a surgical brow lift. They’re also great for eliminating lines around the eyes, and the under-eye bulge, to open the eyes up.
Wrinkle injections is a very safe procedure when performed by a trained Aesthetic practitioner . In our clinic we use injections with great success to treat dynamic wrinkles (those lines that form in the skin where the underlying muscles are used frequently e.g. around the eyes, on the forehead and the area between the eyes. Wrinkle injections can also be used for treating the corners of the mouth, the neck, the masseter muscles (on the side of the jaw) as well as for excess sweating.
5 Facts About Botox

1. Wrinkles injection has been around for over 14 years.
Since being approved by the FDA in 2002, Botox has been the gold standard for the treatment of wrinkles and fine lines. It’s estimated that every year, over one million people in the UK try Botox for the first time.
2. “Bro-tox” is trending.
More men than ever are discovering the significant advantages associated with Botox. It’s estimated that there’s been a 337 per cent increase what’s commonly referred to as “Bro-tox”- Botox injections for men.
3. Botox is proven to treat migraines.
If you suffer from severe and frequent migraines, Botox injections could provide you with long-lasting relief. Botox has recently been approved by the FDA for the treatment of migraine headaches.
4. Botox is used to treat excessive sweating.
The active ingredient in Botox has been shown to reduce sweat gland activity, making Botox a great option for patients who experience sweating of the underarms, hands, and even feet.
5. Botox can be used to lift the brow.
Carefully-placed Botox injections can help lift weakened eyebrow muscles that contribute to drooping, hooded brows. It’s a safe and viable alternative to going under the knife for a browlift.

PRP (platelet rich plasma), also known as the ‘Vampire Facial’ offers skin rejuvenation treatment in a 100% autologuous way, meaning that nothing external is introduced to the skin. The recent introduction of the Endoret Centrifuge uses state of the art technology to obtain a far more concentrated form of your own blood plasma to stimulate skin cell regeneration. use of PRP significantly improves healing, reducing pain and swelling. PRP is also proven to thicken hair, by increasing the number of hair strands per follicle, and is an effective treatment for scar reduction.
As for PRP’s effects on the skin, it works by slowing down the ageing process and for regeneration and correction, with improvements in fine lines and skin laxity seen as little as 24 hours after the first treatment.

Our aesthetic practitioner will take a small sample of your blood, The PRP®-Endoret® centrifuge device then isolates, concentrates and extracts “growth factors” from your own blood in minutes.
We then use our mesotherapy gun to administer multiple micro-injections, delivering your own concentrated growth factors directly into the mesoderm/middle layer of skin.
ZERO risks of an allergic reaction. This is a very safe procedure.
Virtually painless, using the gun there is no need to use an anaesthetic cream.
No downtime (mild redness can be easily covered and settles within hours).
Compatible with other aesthetic procedures.

Who is this for?

Treatment is recommended from the age of 35 for prevention, though results will certainly be more noticeable from 45 years on, when used for regenerative and corrective purposes.
Smoother, plumper, firmer skin

Mesotherapy involves tiny superficial injections of a potent skin rejuvenating cocktail of vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, and amino acids. When this cocktail is injected across the skin barrier to where it can have an affect, it promotes the production of collagen and elastin, all while stimulating the skin’s metabolism. Mesotherapy is also known as “skin-prick rejuvenation,” as it helps give your skin the boost it needs to look brighter and feel firmer, as well as fade the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Mesotherapy treatments take approximately 30 minutes to administer.

Treatments are slightly uncomfortable; an anesthetic treatment can be used to manage discomfort. Initial treatments begin at 3 sessions, scheduled one month apart. Maintenance sessions are scheduled 3 to 4 times per year. The meso-gun has the advantage of using a very fine needle to thousands of times at a rapid rate that makes this a painless treatment as opposed to the hundreds of injections that can be performed manually.

1. Mesotherapy rejuvenates from the inside.
Unlike topical treatments – which treat the top layer of skin – mesotherapy works from within the skin to promote collagen, elastin, and cellular turnover.
2. Stimulated skin metabolism = tighter, firmer skin!
Many clients report feeling tighter and more contoured after a mesotherapy treatment. As the skin’s metabolism increases, skin tightens, making the treatment area look slimmer and smaller.
3. Mesotherapy can be used for multiple trouble spots.
Mesotherapy can be used for a variety of trouble spots. Micro-injections of hyaluronic acid can be used to plump the hands, neck, and chest area for firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
4. The treatment is surprisingly old!
Is mesotherapy a new treatment? Actually, these injections were pioneered by French physician Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952, making this therapy over 60 years old.
5. Mesotherapy can complement your other skin treatments.
Mesotherapy can be used as a complement to other skin care treatments, including skin peels, Botox injections, and dermal fillers.

You may be a good candidate for mesotherapy if:
You have dull or tired skin
You’re committed to maintaining regular mesotherapy sessions
You’re not allergic to the ingredients within your mesotherapy injection
You have realistic expectations for your procedure
Aftercare and Recovery
Mesotherapy takes about 30 minutes to administer. During this procedure, multiple micro-injections are administered directly to the problem area with a specially designed delivery system. An extremely fine needle is used to penetrate to the middle layer of the skin. The aim is to replace vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that are lost due to the ageing process.
Patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment. Some swelling and bruising may occur at the injection site; these side effects tend to dissipate within the first week after treatment.

Dermal Fillers can smooth away wrinkles and fine lines by adding volume to the cheeks and around the mouth. Dermal fillers provide instant volumisation for facial contouring, which provides a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. Dermal fillers can also minimize the appearance of nasolabial folds – which stretch from the corners of the nose to the mouth – as well as add volume to thinner lips.
Results from a dermal filler injection can last anywhere from 9 to 12 months, making this treatment a great option for busy clients.
At Mi Vida, we use Juvederm® ULTRA (manufactured by Allergan), Teosyal and Beltoreo (Merz) to help clients achieve the results they desire.

5 Facts About Dermal Fillers
1. Dermal fillers last longer.
Unlike Botox – which typically lasts anywhere from three to six months – dermal fillers are designed to last for up to 12 months.
2. Dermal fillers use a more natural approach.
Most dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring compound that contributes to the production of collagen and elastin. When injected into the skin, hyaluronic acid increases the presence of these fundamental building blocks, thus speeding up cellular turnover.
3. The Liquid Facelift uses dermal fillers
Nervous about going under the knife for a facelift? Dermal fillers such as voluma can be used to replicate the results of a facelift by minimising wrinkles and adding carefully placed contours around the cheeks and chin.
4. Dermal fillers are more popular than ever!
Interest in dermal fillers is at an all-time high here atMi Vida. Pillow face and over-inflated lips are firmly a thing of the past – we use very small amounts of fillers placed in different strategic points all over the face to tweak the ‘impression’ your face makes – less harsh, less angry, less tired. With absolutely no ‘tell-tale signs’
5. Not all dermal fillers are the same.
Radiesse® uses calcium hydroxylapatite instead of hyaluronic acid to achieve results; Juvederm® Voluma uses a thicker form of hyaluronic acid to add lift to the cheek areas.
Will It Work For Me?
You may be a good candidate for dermal fillers at Mi Vida if:
You have deep lines at rest
You have a loss of volume in the face either age related or weight related (through sport or diet)
Want natural results, if you want overdone and obvious treatments we are NOT the clinic for you

Aftercare and Recovery
Dermal filler injections only take a few minutes to administer; however, in cases where they’re being used for a Liquid Facelift, they may take longer. Dermal fillers are injected into the treatment area via a small needle or sometimes a cannula. Typical injection sites include the cheeks, around the eyes, nasolabial folds, and lips. Clients may be treated with a numbing cream to manage discomfort.
Common side effects can include slight bruising, swelling, and discomfort at the injection site. These side effects typically dissipate within the first week after treatment.

Lip enhancement with lip fillers is one of the fastest ways to achieve a fuller, sexier pout – the kind made famous by celebrities like Angelina Jolie! Lip fillers – including Restylane, Hydrafill, and Juvederm – contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring compound that instantly plumps and adds volume to thin or ageing lips. Unlike with lip implants, results are smooth and appear natural, meaning no one will guess at your procedure. Treatments take only 30 minutes to perform, and there’s no need for surgery or anaesthesia. Results last anywhere from 8 to 12 months. At Mi Vida we use advanced no needle techniques that significantly reduce bruising and anaesthetic to make it a painless procedure.
5 Facts About Lip Fillers
1. They’re made from thinner hyaluronic acid gel.
Lip fillers contain the same active ingredient as most dermal fillers (hyaluronic acid); however, it’s in a thinner version than traditional dermal fillers. This is to help the lips remain flexible; otherwise, you’d end up with a stiff pout!
2. Less bruising and smoother lips- special advanced cannula technique.
3. It’s more than plumping lips.
Feeling self-conscious about the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on your lips? Lip fillers can help with those, too. By the end of your treatment, you’ll have smoother, younger-looking lips.
4. Hyaluronic acid is a natural compound.
Another reason lip fillers are so popular is because they contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring compound that’s found within your own body. Hyaluronic acid increases the production of collagen and elastin – two building blocks for firm skin and rapid cellular turnover!
5. 5 points lift
Mi Vida offer a super subtle lip tweak called the “5 point lift” this addresses the main points of the lip with tiny amounts of filler. It helps to frame the lip without adding volume.
Will It Work For Me?
You may be a good candidate for lip fillers if:
You’re unhappy with the appearance of your lips
Your lips are asymmetrical (one lip is much bigger than the other, etc.)
Your lips are wrinkled due to ageing
You’d like to achieve fuller lips
You have realistic expectations

Aftercare and Recovery
During your initial consultation with our aesthetic practitioner , you’ll identify the lip filler that’s right for your needs, as well as what your goals might be.The procedure itself only takes about thirty minutes to perform; results are instant. Clients can expect to see fuller lips, as well as minimized lip lines, symmetrical upper and lower lips, and a more defined lip border.
Common side effects can include bruising and swelling, as well as tenderness at the injection site. These side effects usually dissipate after a few days.

Profhilo is an award-winning treatment and innovative approach to anti-aging. Comprised of 100% HA (Hyaluronic Acid), it restores firmness of the skin whilst nourishing dermal cells; providing hydration from the inside out to address ‘crepey’ skin. Once administered, it spreads freely in the dermis, interacting with the tissue and causing it to regenerate, by stimulating your own production of collagen and elastin. The result of this is a tighter and more youthful appearance.
A visible, and sometimes dramatic, improvement in skin condition can be seen after just 2 sessions, a month apart, and only 5 injection points on each side of the face. The downtime is minimal, and the results are natural. Even though Profhilo is made of Hyaluronic Acid, it is not for adding volume but rather for enhancing skin tone, texture, elasticity and hydration.
Any area of the face or body can be treated with Profhilo but generally we treat the face, neck and hands. Profhilo is suitable for both women and men from the age of 30 upwards.

5 Facts about Profhilo
1. A Natural Approach
Profhilo uses a natural approach in dealing with the first signs of ageing due to hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring compound that contributes to the production of collagen and elastin. When injected into the skin, hyaluronic acid increases the presence of these fundamental building blocks, thus speeding up cellular turnover.
2. Different from Dermal Fillers
Even though Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid injection, it’s consistency and application differs to that of Dermal Fillers, and hence it does not add volume. Dermal Fillers do not hydrate the skin in the same way that Profhilo does; Profhilo is directly treating the tone, texture and overall condition of the skin, super important for an overall more youthful appearance. The two treatments work well together.
3. Minimal discomfort & downtime
A minute needle is used for the treatment which means that the skin is generally free from marks and bruises. Profhilo does not contain lidocaine (anaesthetic), unlike most Dermal Fillers, as it is not required. Topical numbing cream can be used, but often it is not necessary.
4. Collagen, Elastin & Hyaluronic Acid levels drop after the age of 30
We start losing a significant amount of collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid after the age of 30, so it’s good to start having treatments and using a good skincare regime to address this. Profhilo stimulates four different types of elastin and collagen due to the slow release of hyaluronic acid, and is a great complementary treatment for Dermal Fillers or for those not quite ready to have anti-wrinkle injections and/or Dermal Fillers.
5. Award-Winning
Launched in the UK in 2016, Profhilo has already won an Aesthetic Award as the Most Innovative Treatment in 2016, and was Highly Commended in 2017.
You are above 30 years old
You’re noticing a change in the texture of your skin: loss of elasticity, fine lines, ‘crepey’ skin
Your skin lacks hydration and that youthful radiance it once had
Profhilo injections only take a few minutes to administer, via a small needle or cannula. Typical injection sites include those areas difficult to treat with dermal fillers, such as the forehead, around the mouth, neck and backs of the hands. Clients may be treated with a numbing cream to manage any discomfort.
There is minimal downtime associated with this treatment. Generally clients are able to return to work and resume normal activities immediately after treatment. There may be a little redness and/or swelling post-treatment but this should dissipate after 48 hours.

The microdermabrasion facial or red carpet facial) gives an immediate brightening of the skin and lasting improvement in elasticity and texture.
The Microdermabrasion facial treatment is an innovative procedure that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant application to help produce gleaming, glowing skin. By combining these actions, the Microdermabrasion facial removes dead skin cells, extracts dirt and impurities, and hydrates ageing, dull skin. The end result is skin that looks fresh, renewed, and years younger.
The Microdermabrasion facial uses the Vortex-Fusion serum delivery system, which simultaneously removes impurities while replenishing the skin with critical nutrients and antioxidants. The 5-step procedure can take only 30 minutes to perform, while results can be seen immediately. There’s no downtime associated with this treatment. It’s recommended that clients schedule one Microdermabrasion facial treatment each month to maintain results.
1. 80.3% of skin damage is caused by the sun.
The Microdermabrasion facial works to reverse the signs of sun damage, as well as infuse antioxidants into your skin for future protection against the sun.
2. Your skin produces 1% less collagen each year.
After the age of 20, the skin produces 1% less collagen with every passing year. That’s why even clients in their 20s should be vigilant about their skin care routine.
3. Acne strikes at all ages.
Acne’s not just for teens; in fact, even adults in their 40s and 50s experience some form of acne. The Microdermabrasion facial manually removes impurities from the skin, thereby decreasing the clients risk for breakouts.
4. Antioxidants help skin cells repair and grow.
The last step to the Microdermabrasion facial system is the infusion of antioxidants –and for good reason. Antioxidants are key to helping skin cells protect your skin against free radicals and environmental toxins.
5. UV rays are equally strong on sunny and cloudy days- UVA penetrates clouds.
If you don’t wear sunscreen during cloudy days, you may still have sun damage. UV rays are just as powerful on cloudy days as sunny ones, meaning your skin may need additional protection from regular Microdermabrasion facial treatments. Although UVB rays cause sunburn, UVA rays that penetrate clouds are the ones responsible to wrinkles and pigmentation.
You may be a good candidate for the HydraFacial if you have any of the following skin issues:
Wrinkles and fine lines
Loss of elasticity and firmness
Uneven skin tone and texture
Oily/Congested skin
Large pores
Advanced aging

Aftercare and Recovery
The Microdermabrasion facial procedure takes about 30 minutes to administer. There is optional ‘bolt-on’ procedures (e.g. an extended 20 minute Dermalux LED) which your aesthetician will discuss with you in detail. During this procedure, your aesthetic practitioner will use Vortex-Fusion technology to deliver powerful serums, peptides, and antioxidants to your face. This skin care delivery is performed in five steps: Exfoliation, Peel, Extraction, Fusion, and Protection.
Skin will look lush and renewed as soon as the treatment is finished. Results can last anywhere from one to two weeks, making this procedure a great option before a major event. We recommend scheduling monthly treatments to maintain results.
Patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment, as there is no recovery or downtime associated with the Microdermabrasion facial.
